Sprint and most providers will not let you unlock your phone by the MSL does not unlock it so it can be used on other networks. Back on track, as long as you are on a contract or making payments on the phone.

The MSL just allows you access to dangerous menus that could actually screw your device up if you set something wrong. It would also not be covered by warranty if you needed to get your screw up repaired.

Easy way if you have another phone to activate your old phone then reactivate your note through the sprint website. The website will give you a 6 digit code that says you may need to activate. That's your MSL

The MSL unlock and SIM unlock are not the same thing. The MSL unlock just gives you access and ability to edit that service menu and nothing else.

I use an APP called SPCUtility

Does Z3X give you the MSL code?
