It's best practice to create a QCN backup before doing any Z3X operations. QCN's are only used for qualcomm phones. CERTs are certifications introduced in samsungs new EFS v2. If you have a device with samsung's new EFS folder, you need to write cert to repair IMEI. The cert contains IMEI and certifcation to pass IMEI. Certs can be read/written on Enyxos devices. Certs can only be written to Qualcomm devices. There is no way of obtaining certifications from Samsung at the moment. To see if your device has EFS v2- you can dial *#0011# and check for the line IMEI CERT: PASS or IMEI CERT: FAIL. |
