Sprint unlock works fine for the most part, but to enable APN here are some suggestions: In Hidden Menu > IOT/CDG2 > LTE > Operation Mode change Production Network to Lab Network. Or restart with a Sprint SIM card inserted, select network, then replace with user SIM.
