I am not understanding from any angle these conversations/instructions. I have a Sprint SM-G920p S6 phone and I also have my z3x but I cant seem to follow you all instructions correctly.
I placed the sboot. file in Odin at BL and the Home firmware at AP but it is still saying fail. Is this the way to do it? I am on running G920PVPS4DQE2_G920PSPT4DQE2_SPR and tested with G920PVPU3BOJ7 and SBOOT_G920P_OJ7 downgrade. I have FRP and phone need to be unlocked. Help with z3x and operations!!!!!!!

It is always recommended to downgrade to the lowest binary possible before doing any repairs in the phone because of the security patches on the laterest firmwares.

What you are doing wrong is that your current firmware binary is 4 (G920PVPS4DQE2) and you are running the binary 3 Sboot file (G920PVPU3BOJ7). You need to get the binary 4 Sboot in other for the proceedure to work.

Flash it with this file FRP_ENG_SBOOT_G920PVPU4API2

alternate solution

alternate solution for revision 4 build only! (also works for unlock sim)

- flash https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Yn...3edvv_qEO1T-02

- remove FRP/unlock SIM via box of choice

- factory reset if doing FRP

- flash stock boot.img back to phone

- profit.
