1. Type Code
2. In Port Setting select CP USB.
3. In Port Setting select CP Reset.
4. After this PC must detect new device and install driver.

Post result. If not help send to me team viewer id and password I help.

Same problem here... Using USB cable, When switching to CP RESET it automatically changed back to CP USB and unable to find a phone... Using latest LGTool with Z3X Box. Please help. Drivers are installed properly from LG website. Mine doesn't even get that far. Waiting for device.. and can't find it.

not box driver.
1. Phone must be connected direct to mother board.
2. In connect menu select LG Software.
3. Type in phone 3845#*769#.
4. Select in Port Setting menu CP USB.
5. Select in Port Setting menu CP Reset.
PC must detect flash loader device.

If this not help try use 56k cable.

Thanks for your reply, I will try tonight and will let you know. I was actually doing the same steps except it was connected in Charge Mode only not LG software. You think that's might be the reason phone is not detected at all?

Andrew,

I ran out of options with this phone..
1. Connected directly to PC USB port via 56K resistor cable. Tried 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports.
2. Z3X Box is conncted and drivers are installed Windows 7 x64.
3. LG Universal drivers are installed.
4. CP USB is chosen while phone is being detected by LG Tool software.
5. CP Reset is chosen but phone is not being detected by LG Tool 8.1 software.
Tried different PC's, USB/56K cables still no result...

Can you tell me which drivers need to be installed for P769 phone?
Does the cable need to be in 56K position?
Which port needs to be displayed in LG Tool software? LG USB Serial?

Thanks in advance! I am frustrated already.... Maybe OS is the prtoblem? Should I try it in Windows 7 32 bit?
