Member: 1653961 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 9 | Iphone 4S unlock - Vodafone UK I have an iPhone 4S locked to Vodafone UK that I need to be factory unlocked. Though I am not very active member in the forum, I've quite good experience with software and factory unlock. I have myself done many AT&T iPhone factory unlock before the AT&T unlock got restricted to customers only from 28th April'2012. Don't have much experience with UK carriers and wanted to try GSMFATHER.COM. I need to point out few things which other members also should be aware of. The main website is GsmFather.Com | The Wholesale Unlocking Database - Home, however, there is another website with domain GsmFather.in - Home which the chat representative clarified that it's the same website dedicated for Indian customers. An analysis of rates shows that there are different rates for same carrier and model of the iPhone. For example, Vodafone UK iPhone 4S is INR 2500/- on gsmfather.com whereas INR 3500/- on gsmfather.in. Needless to say that I selected GsmFather.Com | The Wholesale Unlocking Database - Home to place my oreder. When trying to pay the final amount there through paypal, final invoice amount is appearing as USD 56.3 which is more than INR 3300/- as per the current rate. I am still wondering why there is so much of rate difference between different gsmfather websites and within one website as well. On chat the representative is asking to do a direct bank transfer, but I am bit concerned because of two reasons 1. No protection in case of direct transfer, 2. there is a processing charge of INR 175.00 in all modes of payments which is not mentioned in the rates or anywhere else and you come to know about this only at the time of making payment. Need advice from member who have successfully availed services from gsmfather. I am not trying to defame or appreciate any unlocking service here. Just trying to bring forth the truth if not discussed already. |
