Member: 337450 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 718 | 16gb 3GS iphone shorted. I never seen a successful repair for this kind of problem, shorted board, Pmic (for 3gs) gets hot, even removing the 3 power amplifiers don't work, still board shorted. The glue use on i-phone's board is a kind not ordinary unlike on nokia's. Removing glue parts will damage the parts as i tried, but pins on board is intact. Some possible reasons why those iphone get shorted and died permanently are: 1. user's use a third party charging device. 2. Factory defects, modified by suppliers but no reasons why they did it. 3. Over charged? electric current problem? 4. Water damaged! Solutions are not applicable I think, i-phone is made not repairable by hardware? no diagram avalable, no schematic... if you got solutions pls post it here, thanks. |

Member: 1675 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 44 | general solution Hi i try to help u and all with ageneral solution for all short circuited pcb's. take an external power supply with 2-3 A power and without protection for short circuit and connect the 3.8-4.00 v at the pcb's battery contact(becarefull for polarity coz its difficult to found from pcb, check at battery) and try to found witch part are going hot. If its from some chip(s) fault and not psysical short circuit from pcb lines or from any capacitor u will have many chances to find the defective part. Best Regards GabiRo |
