3G 06.15.01 recovery loop nightmare - GSM-Forum

Hi anyone. This is the second time I have come across this problem. After I unlocked this 3G 4.2.1 with ultrasn0w, customer went home and updated it with itunes! This left it in the recovery loop. Nothing seems to be able to revive it. Tried ireb, tiny umbrella, fix recovery etc. Sn0wbreeze 4.2.1 brings up error 1015 and sn0wbreeze on 4.1 seems to just about get there but eventually freezes on the big snowflake!

I have combed through other posts and it seems many others have had similar problems with the 3G 4.2.1 unlock/recovery problem but hard to find any posts from anyone who has actually overcome the problem themselves.

If you know of a way to fix this one would appreciate any help, tnx.

try this brother... use redsnow to put iphone into dfu mode. then restore with itunes use orig fw 4.2.1 if not use cfw.

Hi bro thanks for that but have tried that. However, I am wondering if there are different types of CFW anywhere. I created 4.1. and 4.2.1 using sn0wbreeze but wonder - is there another way? One which will produce a slightly different file - which might work?
