3g 4.0.2 - 4.0 downgrade made easier - GSM-Forum

Downgraded and unlocked 3G via this method 4 pieces so far.

3G on 4.0.2

after a clean official restore with the 4.0.2 IOS,open redsn0w beta.
browse for the firmware you desire...either 4.0.1 or 4.0 continue with redsn0w instructions till finished.

after it completes successfully the iphone will be activated..dont panic if the touch is not working.

Now open itunes and restore with the official firmware (the one you used on redsn0w)- your touch will be back to normal.
remember to restore in recovery mode.

Iphone already downgraded to your desired firmware.

For jailbreaking.
After completing the restore with itunes...open redsn0w beta and jailbreak the iphone...NB- jailbreak with the firmware it is running on currently.

easy and safe...ONLY TESTED ON A 3G iphone.

i did this process with my iphone 3g, in Redsn0w it say DONE and cydia is installed in the firmware but when there is nothing in the fone,

i checked it many times but no success

any other solution ?

please post the details of your phone...firmware it's currently ON

But if you carefully follow the instructions it's very easy..do it step by step...plus where are you stuck??

why downgrade if u can easily jailbreak using redsn0w
