Download iOS 4.0.1 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G | Redmond Pie

switch off the phone
connect phone to pc while pressing the home button.
now itunes will find ur phone in recovery mode
hold shift and press restore and point it to the downloaded firmware
ones it restore to 4.0.1
jailbreak and unlock using jailbreakme.

4.0.1 is jailbreakable so why you upgrade it to newer version knowing that there is no solution??? now its better to downgrage it untill apple stops downgrage.

You can jailbreak and unlock iOS 4.0.1.
apple doesnt sign iOS 4 on 3gs so u cannot restore it back to iOS4.
so u have to restore back to iOS 4.0.1.
if u try iOS4 to restore on 3gs u will get error 3194.

and REDSNOW 0.9.5 for 3G NOT FOR 3GS

Press home and power for 10 sec ,,release th e power -keep holding
the home button..then it will go to dfu mode..press shift choose 4.0.1 ..
after the restore go to jailbreakme.com

All because apple stopped signing 4.0.1 yesterday, so no jailbreak for 3GS now.
