3gs 4.1 gsm signal dilemma

See if you ever came across this and share your solution por favor fellas.

IPHONE 3GS 4.1 baseband 6.15, jb and unlocked.

It will get full signal on one carrier SIM card and only 3 Bars on another.

All should have full gsm signal in my location but it is not the case with this iphone. i know it is not hardware issue like antenna as this phone gets full signal with all other carriers around.
I checked Network settings, swapped different sim of the same carrier, nada!

I am not sure what the deal is any tips welcome

what do you mean my friend?
if i wasnt clear enough let me repeat that the same sim on another phone in the exact same location gets full signal

The iPhone is a quad band GSM device meaning that it can use all of the GSM frequencies around the world. The frequencies are 800/1900 (US) and 900/1800 (Europe).

dude, it cant be hardware since this iphone gets full signal with other sims! it is only with this particular carrier that has 3G sims, that the iphone gsm signal drops to 3 bars

This operator might use another band, open iPhone schematic and you'll see how many ways are used to get signal from antenna . For each band - own way .

Any guru out there to come up with a fix and have both 3G and full GSM signal.
As soon as I enable 3G , GSM signal loses two bars
disable 3G, then it gets full signal

sounds weird,
but you should try with another identical phone,
on same place, same thing.

p.s. 3G network, operates at hihger band - higher band = lower signal
so, do the testing with another same device, if showing same,
than it's operator low power on 3G network.

p.s.2 i had some strange issues with one 3Gs on 6.15 BB,
worked normal on 3G, but on 2G being unreachable,
customer told me it was working normal before BB 6.15,
so consider that too ...

Thanks for the info Alex. Most likely it is the provider here. I should be getting some 3g's shortly and will do some testing. My windows phone all are getting full signals with the same sim card.
