Hello , I have tried many times with your solution to downgrade 3gs 4.2.1 to 4.1 baseband 5.15 but i have no sucess , I think no solution till now to fix downgrading 3gs , we just wait new solution release .

i have 16gb iphone 3gs 4.2.1 in recovery mode. i tried to restore it with i tunes by 4.2.1 8c148a restore file bt giving error 1015. lz help

many day ago i test this 3gs and 3g same solstion
4.1 restor no problam dufmode noproblam recvremode no problam
3gs and 3g 4.2.1 problam brothar
defmode problam and acition without sim problam ok
my english no good i know but work all time apple sir

What is ur baseband ?
Which version of itunes R u using ?
Which firmware u wana put activated or unactivated?

I have done it but I had my baseband 6.16 and unlocked it get me on skype if u need help

To fix error 1015 use TinyUmbrella to Exit Recovery mode after you have downgraded. Thats what I done and everything works fine. You may need to activate your phone with iTunes after that but its just the matter of connecting your iphone and then everything will be ok
