Don't download custom firmware from anywhere; create it yourself with sn0wbreeze (Windows) or PwnageTool (Mac).

Latest TinyUmbrella should work with 4.3.1, but with bb 6.15 you have to use custom firmware. And don't forget to pwn your device with redsn0w before you start the restore.

Like I said, try the sn0wbreeze method. Use the IPSW created by sn0wbreeze and use that with iTunes.
You may have to create two IPSWs with sn0wbreeze. 4.1 and 4.2 If you keep having problems, restart your computer, and restore to 4.1 then 4.2 Both created by sn0wbreeze. You cannot restore with stock firmware as done by iTunes, because of the baseband.

Download sn0wbreeze.
Download iOS 4.1 and 4.2 for Your phone model.
iClarified - iPhone - Where To Download iPhone Firmware Files From
Start sn0wbreeze and follow the instructions. Use baseband conservation method.
