br what is the modem firmware version?

check first the serial. then if it is safe then it is possible to unlock and jailbreak untethered.

Check ur serial no if the manufacturing date is newer than the 29th week of 2011 then dont try it otherwise u can jailbreak n install the ipad baseband n then unlock it...

If the baseband is 6.15(ipad baseband) then u can use the latest ultrasn0w to unlock it...
