3gs bricked when update to 4.3 help!!

hi, so i have an iphone 3gs...it was running previously on a custom 4.2.1 firmware as i update the baseband to 6.15. and a few days back i decided to update the firmware to official 4.3 using itunes. so i update and halfway through the update it came up with an error. and my iphone is bricked. now it refuses to restore with whatever firmware i load to it. using the official 4.3, the custom 4.3 doesnt work at all. is there a way to fix my iphone? the error always comes out 21. and in DFU mode, the error is 1600. pls help!!

You cannot use stock FW for updated 6.15 BB. Use CFW put in DFU using Redsn0w then restore.

My solution:

If phone was unlocked (I guess it was, cause BB is 06.15) and You're lucky someone has saved shsh.

1. Get this Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: iREB-r4.zip
Click iPhone 3GS and follow DFU instructions
2. Start/run "notepad c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts"
add line 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
3. Restore using CUSTOM firmware 4.1, then if it's not working try 4.2.1 and other versions. Maybe You're lucky. If not working then You have a problem

You can also try tiny umbrella to jump off from recovery mode after update to official 4.3/4.3.1 but it never worked for me.

Regards
zeezoo

hi brother,

try with original 4.1 firmware because apple has stopped singing for 4.1 firmware, so you don't need to have shsh saved anymore. but you will end up with error 1015. but no problem just use tinyumbrella to kick out from DFU mode....and post the result.....but if you are unable to restore just try using Redsnow to put on DFU mode..then try again...
