3gs new bb chip solution

hi dear brothers i have faced this problem recently but in this case i have luck , i dont remember if was new production of 3gs with new baseband chip ,but this is how i solve, please test & post results

synthoms:

1.- phone updated to ios 5.0 when running ipad baseband

2.- iphone shows searching even without sim inserted

3.- phone restart


solution tested but not remeber the exacly week of production

1.- downgrade from ios5 or ios 5.0.1 to 4.1 using a custom firmware without baseband update & unactivated

2.- use old resdn0w with ipad baseband option and support for untheterd jailbreak for fixed boot 3gs on 4.1 and reflash ipad baseband again , also do jailbreak

3.- after this i have phone back to normal, imei, wifi & iccid , just use ultrasn0w and unlock

pls check your iphone if old or new bootrom...

maybe your phone is old bootrom.

It wasnt old bootrom its mc series and also its rencent , 6 pieces do by this method , but i wast know about week casue i return to the customers

just try and post results IF YOU HAVE ONE ON THIS CONDITION

also the problem is the new baseband chip inside this is not about the boot running inside

the problem with the new week 3gs is not related with bootloader is related with ( hardware ) baseband ic new inside

i you refer to mb series with non ip4 fixed boot inside, those phones was new bottrom fixed

My iphone 3gs(MC133BZ i update to 5.0.1 but is locked. I downgrade to 4.1 with this method and all fine...

tested and work 100%

downgrade only 4.1 no others ??????????????

If you have SHSH files for other firmwares, you can downgrade to those.

This solution works, tested on over 10 iPhone 3Gs, both old and new bootroms...

you can work with 4.2.1 bcoz that version also has baseband update option, once i tried this, in that case i flashed baseband in 3gs but no network, i tries everything but no service. after everything i tried again with baseband update option, now everything went fine and network is ok... may be my this problem also related to new bb chip in 3gs

i have an 3gs week 140 with no wifi and imei afther flash 4.1 and ipad basenband.was 5.01 and 5.16 baseband.

will try you metod please post link for fw version you used.

TO KNOW IF YOUR iPhone 3GS 8gb is new boot rom is from VIA SERIAL#

if it is serial# is XX127XXXXXX and up ( ex: XX136XXXXXX, XX141XXXXXX)
for sure your iPhone WILL BASEBAND CHIP WILL BE AFFECTED!
since I had so many of this iPhone 8gb that I unlocked and one of gave me a headache that I cannot forget is the iPhone 3GS 8GB serial# XX136XXXXXX that the modem firmware, Bluetooth, WIFI, got all corrupted so NOW I'm stuck with it until WE FOUND A SOLUTIONS TO PUT THE MODEM FIRMWARE BACK TO 5.15 or 5.16 from ipad baseband 6.15

THIS IS A REMINDER FOR ALL OF YOU TRYING TO DOWNGRADING IT TO 4.1 ( is ok ) but once you start to update the baseband to iPad 6.15 ( this be your AGONY OF YOUR LIFE)

And If you do not Believe me, THEN ONCE U GET ONE OF THIS 3GS 8Gb and with if it is serial# is XX127XXXXXX and up ( ex: XX136XXXXXX, XX141XXXXXX) TRY TO UNLOCK IT TO SEE FOR YOUR SELF WHAT WILL HAPPENED...

what he has is OLD 3GS 8gb made from 2010 thru early 2011 ( Jan-June ) with SERIAL# I can say XX124XXXX or LOWER...
because it has new boot rom of iphone 3GS 8gb
if it is serial# is XX127XXXXXX and up ( ex: XX136XXXXXX, XX140XXXXXX, XX141XXXXXX)

U need to wait for baseband reverse solutions ( putting it back to 5.15 or 5.16 ) to able to use it again as cellphone
