3Gs stuck on apple logo/pineapple logo - GSM-Forum

hi friends,
i have 2 ps of 3gs with verion 4.2.1 and bb 6.15 ...

>the cydia was in white colour and whenever i opened it , just blink (not opening)...
what i have done
1.opened redsn0w and selected v4.1 firmware file(both v4.21 org firmware and custom firmware not recoganizing my pc)
2.just boot tethered right now ..after complete this , phone stuck on pineapple logo.. . after 10 minute phone stuck on apple logo...

again opened redsnow and select the option"
! just enter pownd DFU mode right now ...
!!restored with v4.2.1 custom firmware ..

again opened redsn0w and select
1 install cydia ..

after run cydia .. phone stuck on apple logo...

again opened redsnow and do the
* just boot tethered right now... again stuck on pineapple logo

last run the recboot... and try to do
*"exit recovery... but nothing happent to phone..

again i put the phone in to recovery mode manually
and opened recboot aND DO EXIT recovery... just exit the recovery and still on appple logo

pls help me

try to downgrade to 4.1

i have already add this command ... but when i try to restore withv4.1 getting error 3194..

i didnt take the shsh of the phone before

jailbreak it with redsnow using custom restore 4.2.1

redsn0w dosen't recognise the custom file the customfile is only to restore after you ave put it in DFU mode via redsn0w and restore via I-Tunes using the shift key and selecting the CUSTOM FILE... To complete whatever u need to do on redsn0w you have gotta use original ipsw file NOT CUSTOM FILE...

even the v4.2.1 orginal firmware is also not recognizing the redsn0w....

pls help me

I had this problem on friday last week. What you need to do is.

1. Open Hosts file and add at the bottom
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
2. download a custom 4.2.1 firmware for the iphone you have 3G/3GS
3. open redsn0w boot in pwned dfu mode
4. Restore custom firmware via iTunes, (This worked for me)
5. Re Jailbreak the phone

i have done it... but after successfull restore with custom firmware//how can i JB it????

you need to download the ipad firmware on the dev team website. just put it on ur desktop, then run redsn0w and tick. Install cydia, use ipad baseband/firmware

after Jailbreak again stuck on apple logo

On redsn0w after jailbreak it will say you need to boot up with redsn0w again with the option boot in tethered mode. And it will work. Each time the phone is turnt off you will need to do it.

There is no other option around it at the moment

i have tried in 9.6b5 and 9.6b6 ....
* tried after disable anti virus ....but same

- Use the latest redsn0w 0.9.6beta6.
- redsn0w asks for installed firmware, not what you want to install
- Use TinyUmbrella to find out what shsh you have
- You cannot backup shsh from your device - it's not there; you back it up from Apple as long as they give it out.
- iOS 4.2.1 is a tethered jailbreak, which means you need to boot every time with redsn0w. Every time the battery is empty etc.
- redsn0w does not accept custom firmware to point to; use stock
- if redsn0w doesn't accept the stock firmware it's probably the wrong version. Download the correct version and double-check for which device it is.
- I assume you can reinstall stock firmware, you just get an error when iTunes tries to install baseband (because you installed iPad's baseband). You just have to kick out of recovery. Use TinyUmbrella for that. The latest TU also has a restore function that doesn't give you this error.
