3gs unlocking problem. Pls help

Hi, I Have 3gs phone on 5.0.1 baseband 5.16.05 i want to unlock it. i have tried with redsnow 0.9.10b5 and 0.9.10b1 and when i click to install ipad baseband redsnow carsh and stop and phone goes to blank screen for 10 min and does not put cydia or ipad baseband in it. Phones comes on after. Any idea what to do. I want unlock it and i need help

How to Update baseband 5.15.04 to 6.15.00 for iPhone 3GS


# Start Redsn0w 0.9.6b5 and point it to iOS 4.1 IPSW Note: if you use an older version of Redsn0w, you may get unrecognizable IPSW error. Make sure you use Redsn0w 0.9.10b5 .

# Once Redsn0w recognized your iOS 5.0.1 ipsw => click next, you will see a screen with several options => check on “Install iPad baseband” (this will trigger the baseband upgrade) => then choose Yes.

# Now Redsn0w will ask you to put your iPhone in DFU mode. Simply follow the steps provided by Redsn0w to go into PFU.

# Simply follow the next few steps to finish. Be patient when it download the baseband. It may take a few minutes but it will be done eventually.

# That is pretty much it. Once the phone ***** up, follow the steps below to unlock your jailbroken iPhone.

How to unlock iPhone 3GS baseband 6.15.00

1. If you have followed the steps above, it is now very easy to unlock your iPhone. Simply start Cydia
2. Choose “user” mode
3. Upgrade any packages if required
4. Now click on the “Manage” button
5. Click on “Sources” => the unlock source should already be there for you
6. Click on repo666.ultrasn0w.com
7. Click on ultrasn0w
8. Click on Install on the top right => once installed, reboot your iPhone => once rebooted, reboot your iPhone once more
9. Now insert your SIM if you have not done so, your iPhone should now be unlocked. If the signal says “searching…” just be patient, it will be done in just a couple of minutes.

hi, i have used Redsn0w 0.9.10b5 .and when i click to install ipad baseband it saying its doing it but then redsnow crash it and its stops. phone goes to blank screen and switch on after few min but no ipad baseband in it. pls help

use ultrasn0w 1.25.deb

1ª With redsn0w 9.10b2 select "Update baseband ipad"
2ª DFU and flash with custom firmware 5.0.1 in iTunes
3ª With redsn0w 9.10b5 select "Install Cydia" and "Update baseband ipad"(once more)
4ª Enter in cydia wait download paths and go to search writhe "ultrasn0w" and install

Restart your device

ready, this unlocked

without wifi procedure:

run iphonefolder

1. click device name..
2. open private
3. open var..
4. open root
5. open media
6. Inside Media folder,create new folder and rename it "Cydia"
7. Inside Cydia folder,create new folder and rename it "AutoInstall"
8. Inside AutoInstall folder,extract or paste ultrasnow12&mobilesubstrate
for unlocking..
then reboot twice..
your iphone is already unlocked
