4.2.1 with 6.15 baseband crashed now cant restore - GSM-Forum

OK I have a 3g 16gb that I had unlocked it was working fine then the phone just went to the apple logo with the spinning wheel. So I did a normal restore with the original firmware. Got the 1015 error then recovery screen. When I attached it to tiny umbrella the baseband is back at 5.15 now cant restore any Ideas ?

please tell us the detail....

firmware version before you restore
your baseband
and in detail what you are doing...

I was a 4.2.1 i updated the baseband to 6.15 then it was working fine the I get home its crashed. tiny umbrella is reading 5.15 but still getting 1015 error. Im looking more into it now to see if it was more then the baseband was crashed. I cant even restore with custom firmware atm.

i have same problem, 3gs 4.2.1 base band 6.15. restore to 4.1 error 1015 cant kick ireb. then i try use cfw complte. and u can download music in itunes but my iphone still stock on apple logo with spinning wheel.

try this:

1. restore to 4.1 wait for error 1015
2. use iREB-4.0.x-4.1-RC2 use recovery mode loop fixer
3.if still dfu just kick recovery via umbrella
4. jailbreak in greenpoison or limerain
5. unlock via ultrasnow in cycdia

-open redsnow
-just enter pwned dfu mood right now
-after finish then u open i tune and restore custom firmware
- then jaibreak again.

use redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc8 and install cydia your problem solved i try it

this is what you have to do:

1. download custom firmware for 3gs 4.2.1 firmware
2. open redsnow then just enter DFU mode right now
3. open itunes and restore your iphone using the custom firmware you had downloaded
4. if you commit error go to your hosts and erase # 74... and go back to instruction 2 and 3
5. if you have sim card for your phone to activate then activate it using your sim and run greenpoison for the jailbreak if you dont have just use greenpoison first
6. after greenpoison it still in the emergency call use redsnow to activate it
7. voila you have an activated and jailbroken iphone....

note: you have to have a custom firmware for your device....

yes this the exact procedure to follow if u want your fone alive again
