You can "activate" the iPhone 4S using a programmable universal SIM card, enter the code of the preferred carrier to create a recreation of a genuine carrier SIM of your choosing. I've done this several times for carriers who's SIM cards I maybe only had in "full size" and was too lazy to order a micro or cut down my existing. Also works for those obscure carriers you don't want to keep in stock only to use once. You will then have springboard access, jailbreak and use SAM to complete true activation in iTunes. The programmable universal SIM method only gets you springboard access, it is not a true activation until completed with SAM in iTunes. hope that helps! |

Member: 1777973 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 |  I have two iphone 4S version 5.1.1 GSM / CDMA operator Sprint USA, and I can not activate it, and when I enter code 3160101 or 3160100 IMSI just a few minutes it asks to activate again, request activation appears necessary and only the name of carrier and a signal point, I have five new x-sim that I bought last month. |

Member: 1234710 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | hi i had the same problem and i release it with redsnow you can activate it with redsnow when you jailbreak it with absinthe you can not but with redsnow you can just make jailbreak -- enter dfu mode -- and it will be begin the jailbreak when you have the screen on your device you can see activate tested with me on 2 devices (iphone 4 and iphone 4s) |
