How to fix iphone no Cellular Data Network (Solved)

before proceed u must know the original carrier of ur iphone
here how to do that...


1. We must change with CommCenter Patch

Where to download the repository?
a) cydia.iphonemod.com.br (Right now the Repo is down)
OR
b) imatty.altervista.org / repo (I used this, the file is valid only for the 4.0.1)
(Install CommCentreNoSing 4.0.1 (ONLY FOR iOS 4.0.1))

2. Then RESTART

3. Now the Final part:

Either SSH to your Device or Just use iFile from the Device:

Go to::: System/Libraray/Carrier Bundles/ (YOUR CARRIER).bundle/carrier.plist

4. Edit the file carrier.plist with any plist editor (If you SSH from PC/mac) or directly using iFile through Device

After the Following Line

<plist version="1.0">
<dict>

Add:

<key>APNEditabilityTypemask</key>
<integer>5</integer>
<key>AllowEDGEEditing</key>
<true/>

After that you will find <key>CarrierName</key> , which will be there already

5. Restart AGAIN

6. Then Go to Settings >> General >> Network AND YOU WILL FIND Cellular Data Network..VOILA....

7. Enjoy !!!!

Hi,
is this solution works for 4g too. I got 4g unlocked but no apn settings. How can I get that on this 4g. And this is from AT&T.

yes it dose......and for all carriers when u go into System/Libraray/Carrier Bundles/
you ll see there folder named at&t usa or at&t canada just follow the steps.

ok the phone is locked to 3 network sweden and the network i want to use it on is tele2 sweden

yes HUTCHINSON_se bundle is there .....what am i to do edit the plist and copy the strings to the bottom of the existing strings in the plist file or...........can you be a little more specific??

open that folder and edit carrier.plist with ifile...installed it fro xsellize source.

actually when i use ifile i see tele2 bundle and that information already exist in the plist

bro u r getting it all the way wrong.....u need to edit the files those belong to orignal carrier as in ur case HUTCHINSON_se.just add the info in carrier.plist save and click done....then reboot...thats all
