100% correct info, Apple still Signs 4.1 for 3G / 3GS models,
buit you should use PWNED DFU mode, if using formware with no baseband inside - aka custom.

Yes, downgrading iPhone 3GS 5.1.1 to 4.1 is WORKING 100%
I don't why jusmejose laugh...
maybe he haven't downgrade any 3GS to 4.1 before LOL.

I know now why this guy ask for downgrading.
because the iPhone he has is never been unlock before via baseband 6.15 to install this baseband 6.15, you need to downgrade it to 4.1 first then jailbreak and update the baseband to 6.15 then unlock via ultrasnow then for customer to get all the apps compatible to his iphone, the technician need to upgrade it again to 5.1.1 then use redsnow 9.10b.6 ( i think is the newest version of redsnow ) this will help you to install baseband 6.15 and jailbreak again to able to unlock the iphone 3GS 5.1.1 (that never been unlock before ) then use ultrasnow fixer 5.1.1 to get a signal because all 5.1.1 3GS will give you NO SERVICE all the time on 3GS if you didn't install this 5.1.1 ultrasnow fixer

It is a long process but is guarateed 100% WORKS

I've done this procedure 3-5pcs of iPhone already and it works 100%

Agreed, you can downgrade, I have done it many times in order to unlock on lower basebands. Also I have had numerous 3gs on 5.1 and 5.1.1 and ipad baseband which have struggled to get a signal so I have taken them back to 4.1 and used ultrasn0w to unlock. You may get an error at the end of the restore process in itunes, just use tiny umbrella to kick it out of recovery loop

Downgrade for what? if you just downgrade normally, without any trick.

Please check your baseband first. If you upgraded to ipad baseband then you need to put in Pwned dfu mode and restore with custom 4.1 version.

If your baseband is normal then restore with 4.1 directly by putting your phone into recoverymode. You wont get any error.

i agree with u. i reb is very good to bring out of error 1015. and also it help to put iphone in dfu mode.

One more thing I forgot to mentioned

If you are on any version 5.X.X and you want to downgrade to 4.1 then you need to do two times of restoration then at the end you will see ERROR 10!5, just use TinyUmbrella to KICK RECOVERY MODE and you will be fine
