Activate 4.2.1 on iPhone4 - GSM-Forum

Is there a way to activate an iPhone 4 with 4.2.1 and BB 03.10.01. I don't need to unlock or jailbreak, but can if it might help. Is there a way to restore with an activated firmware?

The phone is originally on O2, O2 have unlocked the phonefor me as confirmed by iTunes. I'm wanting to keep the phone on O2 but I can't activate it due to O2 not being willing to remove the block on the IMEI. I've checked that the phone has never been reported as stolen or lost. Any ideas?

flash ur iphone with custom but as long as phone cant be activated with original simcard then u wont get network anyway iphone must be activated via itunes to work on originl simcard
anyway try the custom firmeware if not contact o2

So is there no way to jailbreak activate or use a custom firmware to activate the phone? O2 were happy to unlock the phone but not to remove the bar. The bar can only be released by the original O2 purchaser, bother. Bought in good faith from the bay of e. All help greatfully recieved
