Advice needed for jailbreak and unlock iphone 3g with 3.0 fw and bb 4.26.08

Hello experience fellow,

I have iphone 3g with fw 3.0 and bb 4.26.08 locked. I would like to jailbreak and unlock it. This is my first iphone and my first attempt. I have been reading and I feel very much comfortable doing this. My questions are:

1. What is the best fw and bb should i put on it?

2. Is there any different doing it with redsnow or pwnage tool?

3. I have both mac and pc, is there any different between them?

Bro it is ur own fone or took it from customer n is ur fone is lock not accessing network tell me in details i will help u inshah*****

2 add source (utrasn0w.com) in cydia
3 instal ultrasn0w reboot and y are ready

use this ver of redsn0w-win_0.7.2 to unlock n jailbreak

1. Best firmware for 3g is below 4.01 so stay where you are and leave baseband well alone. Firmware higher than 3.1.3 has been reported as being a little slow on 3g.

2. You do not need redsnow or pwnage tool to jailbreak your current firmware. There are many other options for your current firmware which are, lets face it, much simpler than those you mention. Try navigating to jailbreakme.com through your Safari app and follow on screen instructions or if you must use software try Blackra1n as this also comes complete with Snow which should sort your unlock.

Blackra1n and Snow are by far the easist options especially as this is your own phone and first attempt.
