Hi

Bad News Apple Just Blocked to Downgrade Firmware 4.0.2 To 4.0.1 For Iphones.

Now we cant Downgarde Version 4.0.2 to 4.0.1.

If u have SHSH backup at saurik server you can downgrade it

it can be downgraded, edit host file . C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

via note pad: put this at the bottom. 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com and try to restore in dfu mode keep pressing alt and shift until restore started

unless certainly you have your shsh in cydia, then it's ok to downgrade. CHEERS!!!

OK for your information, apple is signing iphone 3G starting from IOS 4.0, 4.0.1 but not 3xxx firmware.. THANKS IS APPRECIATED!!since this is new info right LOL

Nothing is blocked.... Just check your host file.... I found # before 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com today... deleted it and everything is ok.

LOL for info again 74.208.105.171 is pointing to saurik server (that is the reason why you saved your shsh to cydia), since apple blocked the signing of the old 4.0.1 in order to used the new 4.0.2.
It is BLOCKED for apple server if you don't save your shsh in cydia, but if you saved you shsh then it is not BLOCKED you can still downgrade to 4.0.1 by changing your host file back to saurik server instead of apple server which is 74.208.105.171. Not clear kindly search the forum thanks is appreciated if this help.

So I have 3GS on 4.0.2. Can I save my SHSH with tinyumbella and downgrade to 4.0.1?
