Rather than having to wait until the actual event, we got an early confirmation that the world’s most powerful mobile operating system would feature prominently during WWDC ’12, with Apple slapping iOS 6 branded banners all over the Moscone, and we all know what happens when Apple pushes out a beta of a major iOS release? Yes, that’s right, it is always accompanied by a shiny new experimental iTunes release, but this time, things are a little different. The latest release of iTunes, which carries the version number 10.6.3 supports the iOS 6 beta, and is a major requirements if you want to restore your iOS device to said iOS update, without which you’re totally out of luck. And the strangest thing, it’s not a beta release, it’s the final build. The release of iTunes 10.6.3 brings with itself very few changes, and it’s quite evident from the moment you launch it. The only major change noticeable is the support for iOS 6 beta, nothing else. Apple has also included significant improvements and support for their growing iCloud services, a service that is only going to grow and become more prominent throughout iOS as time passes. Though the update might not be significant for a lot of users, except for the devs out there who might want to try out beta software from Apple, it’s still highly recommended that you update to the latest version of iTunes to clear yourself from all the bugs and issues which you might’ve been facing in the past. And also, it’s also a good idea to future-proof yourself as well. There are two ways through which you can grab the latest iTunes update, either by downloading a fresh copy from Apple’s website or by simply launching the Software Update app and updating iTunes from there. Secondly, if you’re a dev, then you can get the beta version of iOS 6 by heading over to this link. Whats New in 10.6.3: Here's what's new in iTunes 10.6.3 in addition to support for iOS 6 beta and OS X Mountain Lion: Ad******* a problem where iTunes may become unresponsive when syncing an iPad (1st generation) that contains an iBooks textbook Fixes a problem where photos synced to a device may appear in an unexpected order Resolves an issue where iTunes may unexpectedly delete playlists created on a device Fixes issues where iTunes may unexpectedly delete apps on a device Improves overall performance and reliability DOWNLOAD: Download iTunes 10.6.3 Mobileinfo |
