Member: 936896 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 14 | Apple warranty issues I have an iphone which i sent to apple to be repaired, the problem is that when i sent the phone, it was turning on and everything. I received the phone back from apple and see that the phone touch screen was broken. I called them and asked them what is the problem and they said that the phone back was fake and this voids the warranty. I said that if the phone back was fake the technician wouldnt have need to check the phone, they should have just sent the phone back as it is but I have received the phone with broken touch screen and is not turning on. Apple said they cant do anything about. What should I do given that the phone is not in the same condition i sent it? THnak you |

But this broken return is nonpro make sure they're official Apple store in town. Now just 4giv n 4get dear |

Member: 936896 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 14 | Hi thank you for your replies guys. I am sure they are pro because I done it through the apple site as it was on warranty. The thing is that i didn know the phone back was a duplicate but they realized it was fake because they are professional, how come then they have tried to open the phone?they shoud have just send it back. The reason Im saying this is because the damage doesn't seem to be something happend through the postage its like the upper side of the digitizer has been forced and ripped and the wire of the digitizer is properly ripper. They are the one who received it and a damage like this cannot be done through machines in the postage. Is it there anyway to claim the damage through someoone as apple said they cant help. |

i assured my self, like checked the postage which was from apple, then checked the status of the iphone i sent to apple and the status was sayinng that the iphone still has to be diagnosed(like they havent received it yet) and then i thought that this cant be from apple then. I called them and the technician said that even on their pc it was saying that that the iphone still needs to be diagnosed,so if that was the matter how come i received the iphone already(it should have shown as diagnosed and not repaired). then the technicial called the superviser who said that he asked who repaired the phone and thei said that the phone back cover was fake and cannot be fixed because of this. I said that is fine but i dont see the point of receiving an iphone which has been damaged and which has been opened(there was no point to open the phone as they realized from the back it was a fake back, therefore opening it wouldnt have made any sense) if the phone would have had some scratches or bump i could have blaimed the postage, but the type of damage is definataly human made (the way the flex cable of the digitizer was ripped) now even for me was hard to believe, but why on the status it was still saying that it needs to be diagnosed when i already received the iphone? I have proof of the phone being fully working before then that so is it there any third party company or someone who i can call to claim the damage as apple said they cant do anything about it.

If you are anywhere in the EU block (suppose you are in the UK from your English) you ll have to involve the Consumer's Affairs Division of your country and/or else of the EU and they ll chase Apple. Check here ... Consumer Affairs Personally i never had such a problem with Apple customer care. When i needed them I must say they always helped me without a hitch and have an impeccable service. |

I understand what you mean about apple being profession,I didn't believe my self either at first. The point is that I have something damaged which I haven't done,if i was trying to get money out of them illecitely i wouldn't have wrote over here as all I would have needed to do is contacting them and trying to get a damage which I caused. However, this is something not caused by me and I have received my product in condition different then i sent(even if what i sent had third party parts which has voided the warranty, receiving that product damages is not what i should expect).
