Call Failed Problem - GSM-Forum

Hello Folks, i got a annoying problem with my Iphone =/

I just bought my Iphone 3g 8gb a week ago, then i unlocked it with yellowsnow 0.9.8 and used a customized 2.2.1 firmware with baseband 2.28

Well, i can do everything with it, i can receive sms, send sms, receive calls but i can't make calls, when i tap CALL it say "Call Failed". I tried restore so many times, i tried change Sim but didn't work.

I heard that if i could turn off and on the option "Show my called ID" the problem could be fixed, but on my iphone i can't turn on or off because this option is freezed.

Anyone can help me?

Dawg, try this: Setting/Phone/Show Caller ID/ON it will work

I tried already, and i tried with another sim card too.

Does your carrier acept private number mode? Try to insert sim card with private option enabled then Turn On Show Caller ID, then insert your sim desire sim card. This is the only way I tried, in my country Movistar have private calling option, but with Claro is disable and this is what I did to fix this problem.

Something is wrong, i was using other iphone before buy this one. I was using same SIM that i use today, it support private calling, but n this iphone this option is freezed.

Ok i got news, don't know if is good or bad heh

Well when i go Settings > Phone > SIM Applications

then my carrier has a service to call to see how much credits i still have then i choose this option in SIM Applications, then appear a message "Your SIM would like to place a phone call" then it calls to *1113 to listen the credits, guess what? IT CALLS!! AND DON'T FAIL! So my phone can make calls!

But when i try by the normal way, it fail =/

Any ideas??

I have the same problem with an iPhone. Still no luck with fixing. I'm assuming it could be a baseband fault. Is there any way to delete the baseband back and flash it?

i have the same problem too.. i can received calls and text but the problem when i try to call using this iphone using universal sim , i cannot make call it always call failed and the signal is dropping but after a while it returning signal again but the same cannot make call. i try all settings of universal sim but the same problem even i try rebel sim it the same..what is the problem?

UNIVERSAL SIM TEAM WHAT IS YOUR ANSWER ABOUT THIS PROBLEM?
