Can 3gs ios4 be unlocked if i use pwange tool? - GSM-Forum

can it be unlocked at all. I'm gonna buy a mac and will jailbreak the 3gs ios4. But question is can it be unlocked after that. Also i found something interesting. I unlocked 2 iphone 3.1.3 os. After unlocking the original simcard only gets one bar and sometimes no bar at all but other carriers working fine. any solution?

Wait for spirit.
The problem is bootrom(old or new).
For 3.1.3 use spirit after phone activated and unlock and everything will be ok.

on 3GS i met worse than that. As you said reception fluctuates and also suddenly the touch will behave really strange and not respond. The power button wont turn it off anymore and at the end becomes unusable.

the latest patch "works" for 3G only.... and i am using quotes because it still is not 100% from what i tested. Reception still ****s up every now and then. Tested it on 2 units. Maybe its only me.

As a consequence most clients are asking for the permanent unlock which is limited to some networks.
