Can I update to 06.15 baseband only for a jailbroken iPhone 3G v4.0 - GSM-Forum

I have now a jailbroken iPhone 3G v4.0 with 05.14.02 baseband, I just want to ask if I can only update it's baseband to 06.15 and version still remains to 4.0 using redsn0w 0.96b5 so that I could only unlock it with the latest ultrasn0w. During ipsw selection in redsn0w, could I just use the v4.1 firmware even if the iPhone's firmware is 4.0 coz redsn0w will not recognize the ipsw if I select 4.0 firmware.

yes ofcourse u can use redsnow 9.6b5 to update bb only

i think u should have at least 4.1 because new redsn0w not works with 4.0

no u have atleast 4.0.2 firmware in iphone
and use 4.0.0 in redsnow 9.5b5 for jailbreak
and use 4.1.0 in redsnow 9.6b5 to update bb

PS:- it is tested 2 times
