imei barred iphone 4 use it to an other country - GSM-Forum

my friend lost his iphone and he got a replacement then he found it and gave it to me.BUT he had barred it.I currently live to another country to greece.The iPhone 4 is barred in SFR a french network. My baseband is 04.12.01 i was wondering if in the future there is an unlock for this baseband could i unlock and use it in greece?

does not matter its barred or not but you have to unlock first if it was locked.unlocking only can be done by paid service.
if u need info about your iphone so upload your imei here.

you mean to unlock it for use to all the networks or to unblock the imei?
i try to find a paid service that can unlock my iphone even though it is blocked but i can't find anything

Is possible to use in greece if iphone is unlocked. The price of sfr france unlock by imei is expensive (100€ around) ... and unlock by jailbreak & ultrasnow is not here....

Answer: Wait or Paid

lol i would pay them to unlock it but it is barred and they won't let me unlock it-.-

and i don't really know what to do.i will have t believe that i just can't unlock it.As the sites offering imei unlock they say that they won't approve reported lost or stolen iphones. and SFR will just protect the owner and it will not want t unlock as it is barred so i am ****ed up yeah.
and don't tell me to tell my friend to call SFR and tell them to unblock as he can't because he now has a replacement :/
any other idea anyone?
