Carrier Checker 100% working[Guide] - GSM-Forum

Credit goes to ::gsmcoder::
This method and tool works only for iPhone 2g/3g/3gs/4g not for iPhone 4s.
1. First download carrier finder .
2. Download Sn0wbreeze
3. Create a custom firmware.(please don't forget to check activate iPhone)
4. Restore with created firmware.
5. On iPhone homescreen (after activating iPhone), lookup for cydia.
6. Through cydia-hacker-manage-sources-edit-add-repo.bingner.com and through it download sam.

7. Open Sam and look for auto detect.

8.Goto more information and look for IMSI.

9. Open download carrier checker in your pc and type your first five digits of Imsi to the Carrier checker(toolkit). And it will display your carrier name .

Note:- It's just to simplify your search and make you easy to find your carrier.
Wait until my next release, i'm trying to create a vbtoolkit which will do it all for you.Till then, this is just a simple code program to find carrier.

you can only check this way if you have the fone in your hand. and this works and such a long way to do it.

For those whose iPhone is already jailbroken they just need to install sam..
And those who have activated iPhone but not jailbroken, they can jailbreak iPhone with redsn0w.
And just skip to step 5.

i was having iphone 4 from customer
i check imsi via sam
it was showing 23420
but actually it was three uk
whose imsi start from 23410
i hav seen many post abt sam detecting carrier
this method is not succesful
but if u really activate the iphone with sim
then it is working

talwaria - what you told is somehow correct.
Reason behind sam being unsuccesfull for some carriers :-
* There are lots of carriers worldwide having different carrier code.
* And may be coz they give carrier code according to states..
So, if you and many of our friends like you help us regarding different carrier codes, i could mix them to create more effiecient command...

i found this method

1. Connect your phone to your PC's COM port with a data cable.
2. Start any terminal program (e.g. Hyperterm) and select a port the phone is connected to.
3. Type in "AT+CIMI" command (w/o quotes, terminated by Enter).
4. See result.

it wont show imsi roklat, i did already found that method. I'm currently in the process of finding imsi via pc, show that u can just connect your iPhone to pc and get your imsi, if i get success in that , i will go for trying calculating imsi through imei, i don't i will get success or not.If anyone of you have the idea of calculating IMSI, please help me to build a carrier checker...
