Couldn't able to Jailbreak my 3GS 4.1 BB 05.14.02 using Limera1n, GreenPoison and SB - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I have iPhone 3GS v4.1 (8B117 and Model MC 136 LL, 16GB, Carrier AT&T 8.0) BB 05.14.02, Locked by AT&T Carrier. Since 2 days I'm trying to jailbreak this phone but I couldn't able to. First I tried with Limera1n by correctly following the prescribed steps to jailbreak but there was no Limera1n icon on the iPhone screen and I tried several times but with the same result. With the GreenPoison the result was same. Finally I tried with Snowbreeze 2.0.2 and 2.1. I was able to create Snowbreeze custom 4.1 IPSW for my iPhone, but when I try to restore using iTunes the following error poped up like

"The iPhone 'iPhone' could not be restored. An unknown error occured (3194)".

Earlier I was able to jailbreak and unlock my other iPhones (iPhone 3GS 4.1 with Limera1n and 3G with Redsnow), but this one giving me lot of trobles. I would appreciate your help for the above regard. Hope the above information is sufficient, but if u require any further info please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks in advance,

reset ur network setting if not reset all setting it should do it
if not then update it to 4.1 and that should do it

Hi,

can we use Redsnow to jailbreak 3GS 4.1 05.14.02?? If so what version of Redsnow? I don't want to unlock my iphone now until I get any downgrade solution in near future, so I only need jailbreak. If I jailbreak using Redsnow does it change my base band? Do I need any custom 4.1 IPSW restore file for Redsnow or the one I extracted with Snowbreeze is good enough? Please advise me the download and guide link to use Redsnow? Thanks again for your reply.

he is talking about 3gs..i dont think redsn0w is a good idea on 3gs..please read carefully..what he is talking about..then post..here ur solution..uninstall everything which is apple related from computer also the registry files..then restart ur computer..and then install itunes again..then do the process...simple..it will work..

hi brother.

i had the same problem with my 3GS. i tried all what you did. first tried with Limera1n but no luck, 2nd with greenpoisen but the same result, not showing the icon on springboard. finally did it with Redsnow. worked perfectly. and mine was MB (old boot) so i was on untethered boot.. so just try with redsnow. and the big fun you will get limerain icon also once you finish with redsnow.....

use redsnow and by using itune latest ver. you can solve your problem sir
