It doesnt work! Help! - GSM-Forum

I got my iphone ordered thru apple last year this time in the uk. 3gs.
Proud owner of 3.0, got it jailbroken and unlocked through cydia cause i had to use it in hungary budapest. For the entire year i never updated cause i knew it would be unlocked and not usable in hungary. Right so anyway, last week, i accidently updated to what i think is 4.0.2. Now realising theres no jailbreak for 4.0.2 yet, i downgraded to 4.0. But it doesnt work. Ive tried everything. Going on to those text files, on win32 changing the host files etc etc, i'd press shift and restore - the process goes and gives me an error of 10215 or something, which i bypass using tinyumberella. In the very last stage of this step - i get the activation screen, and i cant basically get past it. Ive tried downgrading to 4.0, 3.13, 3.12, they all end up with that activation screen telling me to insert a sim card to activate the iphone. There is no At&M in hungary. Theres no phonebook sim card either. I am stuck i really dont know what to do. The shsh files are saved for version 4.0.2 when i press tiny umberella!!!

Is there not a way to bypass the activation? Must i put a sim in it? And if so from where? and how?

It was about £800 pounds - i got it activated thru itunes - it didnt ask me for a sim to start of with! Once activated and the homescreen visible i jailbroked it thru red snow, got cydia. etc. I just updated accidently and now im stuck with it telling me to get it activated when there wasnt a sim originally to activate it! !!!

I know that its downloaded 3.1.2 cause i see the world image when i stroke for the emergency call!
