easy way to solve diff sim detected (emergency mode ) after jailbreak - Page 4 - GSM-Forum

Tried this for iPhone 4 stuck at emergency screen (ill try anything!!), phone was never activated, and therefore no way to get into phone (& jailbreak)... so one of these the reason why no var/root/etc... folder on phone? (or where is it)

This was the closest I've got though so you give me hope!! Thanks but Please we need fix for US AT&T iPhone 4 that were bought off Apple Online and sold (usually ebay) but not activated by original buyer. Many people with same problem as me!!! (iTunes asks for zip code/ last 4#SSN of original account holder)

Phonebook sims dont work either

You should be able to activate the phone with phonebook sim,
This guide is only so the phone does not revert to connect to itunes to activate after switching cards

But yeah wait.. there no access to the folder /private/var/root/Library/ without the iPhone is already jailbroken before!! We are talking here about an iPhone stuck with the (Emergency Call Screen) which cannot be restored by a jailbreak tool (I'm talking about a 3GS new bootroom).

Please help!

Had a 3GS on 3.1.2 ... which was stuck with blackra1n
- Bought a phonebook sim card..
- Restored 4.0.1 from itunes
- Activated using phonebook sim card
- installed jailbreakme, and untrasn0w
- put in my own sim and got stuck with Different SIM error
- followed your steps and Yipeee!!! iphone rocks.. apple *****

damm great!!!! i thought i'm done with my iPhone but here's a great solution!

guys make sure that U unpack .rar correctly, i was copying /lockdown/locdown/"3 files" while U must copy only lockdown/"3 files"

ihave replace the Folder lockdown using iphone browser then itunes got an error cannot see the iphone and get error 80000000xx , plz help

check replaced lockdown folder must have 3 file , maybe u have another lockdown folder in main lockdown folder and files inside it not in main lockdown folder
