Hi all,,
Have an iPhone 4 , version 4.0 and BB 01.59 relying on ultrasnow for unlock

Made a custom FW by snowbreeze 2.91 and redsnow 0.9.10b5, entered PWNED DFU mode and tried restore with Itunes but ended with error 1600.
This error mean :
Custom firmware can't be restored on a device with DFU Mode. Use Recovery Mode.

previously i have done many without any problem. i also tried recovery mode and ended with error 1604

How can i update a custom FW while preserving BB to 5.0.1 if iTunes does not update in PWNED DFU mode?

Any workaround to update to 5.0.1 while preserving BB?

Where shsh blobs saved? Did you use tiny umbrella while trying to update your device ?

That was so stupid of me,, i had used tinyumbrella and the option was checked: set hosts to cydia on exit.. unchecked it and everything fine now..

just put iphone in pawned dfu mode with redsnow before updating iphone firmware

i m facing same problem in my iphone 4 phone is now in dfu mode black screen only always getting error 1600 when trying to restore wih 5.0.1 preserve baseband firmware plz help me i hav'n backed up shsh how to solve my problem

put phone in RECOVERY MODE then try to restore 5.0.1.
