GPS Applications are not working on 3G and 3GS iPhones (BB 06.15)… - GSM-Forum

Hi,
I recently unlocked my 3G (v4.2) and 3GS (v4.1) iPhones of previous BB 05.14.02 and upgraded to BB 06.15. However after unlocking my iPhones I found my GPS applications are not working in both the phones.

I installed 3GPS applications (Navigon, tomtom and Magellan Roadmate) in my 3GS and none of them having good satellite reception. For Navigon I’m getting screen display like “GPS reception is not available, click on simulation mode until get the reception”, for tomtom the screen displays like “Poor reception”. For Roadmate the screen displays like “searching for GPS reception”. Before unlocking (when it is on BB of 05.14.02) all these 3 GPS applications were worked well.

I’m not sure is there any interference due to unlocking and I’m not sure does anybody have same problem like me. I uninstalled and reinstalled the applications but the problem remains same. Please find me the solution and it would be appreciated. If you require any further info please do not hesitate to ask me.

previously my iphone 3g had os3.1.2 & all the GPS app like tomtom,navigon,igo were working fine & now when i update to iphone 3g os4.1 & BB 06.15.00 its not working at all its says poor gps reception.

so please help me tht i can use 4.1 in iphone 3g or do i downgrade to same old version 3.1.2.

i had the same problem, my iphone 3g baseband 6.15 gps not working any idea??
