Greenpoison RC5 is not working on custom firmware - GSM-Forum

Hi anyone here how to fix this issue? I tried it a lot of times using the custom firmware restred iphone 3gs's and iphone 4's since iwe cannot restore it using the official firmware because it will get error 1015 and we can't kick it out of recovery mode. is there anyway for me to get it fixed? greenpois0n isn't working on CFW's. im always stucked on the message no successful firmware download.

the Greenpois0n team distinctly say that we are to use stock 4.1 and 4.2 firmwares why you think you should go use custom firmware and complaining about it

for you to use redsn0w or greenpois0n you gotta upgrade your phone to 4.2.1 none of them works with custom firmwares thats the reason why they said if you are relying on unlock do DO NOT USE ANY OF THEM because you wont be able to unlock your phone because of baseband upgrade

i have same problem i make update with tiny umbrella and after make jailbreak with greenpois0n phone is in recovery mode mode i try to "Exit recovery" from TinyUmbrell but nothing !???? WHY ?

MUST USE SAME VERSION OF iTUNES ? I use 10.1.1

That's weird had 3GS new BL yesterday upgraded with 4.2.1 custom firmware (had 4.1 with 6.15 baseband) run GP and then redsn0w to install cydia. works fine.

After restore, JB with resnow> install Cydia, once again > boot thetered and after the phone is alive JB with GP.

JAILBREAKING and UNLOCKING are two different process and JAILBREAKING concern with the Firmware weather CUSTOM or NOT CUSTOM and Unlocking Concern with BaseBand and Ultrasn0w can only Unlock supported BaseBands not all, so my conclusion doesn't matter you have CUSTOM or NOT CUSTOM firmware, i tried one 4g 4.2.1 with BaseBand 1.59 after successfull jailbreak with Redsn0w i run GP but after restart it hangs on APPLE logo showing rotating circle inside APPLE LOGO, then again i restore with CUSTOM firmware and run GP without using Redsn0w first and it worked for me.

unlock and jailbreak unthereted many 3 gs with new boot 4.2.1 custom succed.
use first gp after redsnow and at last unlock without wifi 6.15

i had used greenpoison RC5 with CFW 4.2.1 with old baseband,,
working fine,,
before was using redsnow tethered jailbreak then run greenpoison,, working without any problem!

but jailbreak don't work with iphone 4 custum firmware it work fin with original firmware but not with custum
