HELP for 3G unlocking - GSM-Forum

HI... i have a 3G....first was on 4.0 and i updated to 4.2.1 and 06.15 BB.... but NO SERVICE shows on carrier name..... the problem is that in settings-general-about under the Carrier field, the carrier version shows "Carrier Lab 9.0" and i think this is the thing that doesnt let me unlock....i am saying this cause i have another 3G same as this one, iOS 4.2.1 and 06.15 BB but the carrier version shows "Carrier 8.0" and its unlocked..... Now I've tried SAM but no luck, and when i updated from 4.0 to 4.2.1 the carrier version didnt change.... ANY HELP OR SUGGESTION APPRECIATED... THANKS IN ADVANCE

Just having baseband 6.15 is not enough for a succesful unlock.
You must also install Ultrasn0w ( via Cydia ) to unlock that baseband, if you don't install Ultrasn0w it won't unlock.

There are 3 steps to a succesful unlock on that firmware:
1. Jailbreak
2. Update Baseband to 06.15
3. Install Ultrasn0w

i am fully aware of that... sorry for non mentioning ultrasn0w... as i sad i have another 3G and its working perfectly... so if you have something else in mind please say it...
