hi dear i have iphone 3g with 4.1 firmware i want to instal 4.2 firmware plz tell me how can i do this i have tried many time but no succes plz help me

2nd i was trying to update it in 4.2 but my device went recovery mode i exit it but now im trying jailbreak but my device not working with redsnow so plz help me

First of all you should write your topic that in what case do u need help? Don't write like this "help help help" & Don't repeat a word again n again in forum, this will waste our expenssive time!

now come to your solution

1. don't upgrade your 3g to 4.2 just install 4.1 that is good for 3g cos 4.2 is not jailbreak n proper unlock 3g

2. put a line in hosts file (C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc) or replace with provided and restart ur pc

3. now u can downgrade ur 3g (n shsh saved on cydia server 3gs too)

4. you should have official fw 4.1 to do so

5. then use redsnow to jailbreak and unlock it (the way u can search here in this forum
