hai frnds,

i recvd iphone 4g firmware v 4.0.0 for unlock

i worked with this tips..jail breaked and unlocked
iClarified - iPhone - How to Jailbreak Your iPhone Using JailbreakMe [4.0.0, 4.0.1]

at the end of unlock stage i switched off/then on tht phone manually!!

now tht phone is in "apple" mode..when i switch on!!

i tried to make in dfu mode..then trying to restore it manually(shift key)wth

iPhone3,1_4.0_8A293_Restore (as tht is its original firmware)


while trying for restore..ERROR OCCURS!!
ERROR CODE:3194

MY DOUBT IS: can i upgrade/restore it wth iPhone3,1_4.0.1_8A306_Restore,

after tht,can i jail break and unlock wth the same procedure

No, you can not restore to 4.0.1 or less, you can to 4.0.2 but will break you Jailbreak and unlock.

so the best thing to do, is to see if ur SHSH Svaed you can search alot of topics how to see that [TinyUmbrella] and if its saved u can restore fine.

or try to fix your error, because i don't understand what you mean by "Apple Mode"?

you mean the Recovery Mode? if yes then there is a Simple Fix... which is "RECBOOT" will get you out of the loop.

hai thnkx for ur immediate reply..really i need ur help..in this case..

"apple mode"=what i tries to say is "phone display with apple symbol @ the centre of screen" (cant able to switch off/on)

what to do next?bro.

press power button and home button for 8 sec and release them, see if the iphone boot normally?

i tried wth tiny umbrella v 4.02.05 "kick device out of recovery"

but still phone in same state"apple logo @ centre of screen" cant able to switch off/on!!

in tiny umbrella phonre detects in dfu mode..
it shows device serial number..

im having tht ecid of tht phone..as noted down,while jailbreak/unlock process earlier!!

wat to do next bro?
cant able to recover wth vrsn 4 or versn 4.01 too!!

on tiny embrella, sellect the right version that you have saved ECID with last time

just "RUN TSS SERVER" and restore your phone you the version that you saved your ECID with.

oh i see.

you can try to Hold the Power Button And the Home button for 10 seconds and Leave the Power button but keep holding on the HOME BUTTON.

then it will send you to the dfu, after that itunes will detect the iphone.. then try to Hold the home button and the power button Only until you see the apple logo again.

but still i cant able to restore wth v 4.0.0 also cant able to do wth v 4.0.1!!

ok try this go to c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc and open that folder there is a file there called hosts you going to edit that file open it with notepad and copy this string 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
to the end of the documents and save it then try to restore again and make sure you download iphone4 firmware 4.0
