How to activate 4s ios5.0 without original SIM CARD - GSM-Forum

Hello,

Have iphone 4s on ios 5.0

Need to activate it and the use gevey but it is stuck at activation screen as I do not have a real SIM CARD.

Is it possible to activate it permamently without original sim?

There is no other way of activating 4s without sim..except for jailbraking..

Have iphone, have the newest redsn0w, do i need to download ipsw?

Tried to jaibreak using absinthe - cannot, it has to be activated

Tried redsn0w - said it has to be activated.

Any ideas?

Do factory unlock or use original sim there is no other way to activate ip4s

you can jailbreak iphone4s(a5) but you can't hactivate,Stop lurking just find a unlocking source or a original sim card,nothing else will help,till yet.

Yes of course that have way to activate permanently i will tell u how :

1. Check imei to get carrier
2. Buy one xsim or gevey or rebelsim put with sim card and insert or write imsi to xsim and then activate throught itunes or via wireles will work 100% u can eject xsim gevey or rebel ur phone work gr8 not stuck in activation screen.

Just turn off your iphone, then hold pressed HOME button and then while holding home put USB cable to iphone, you will enter in recovery mode. After that start redsn0w, and just click JAILBREAK, check install Cydia.
If you can not do that then i do not have anything more to say.

1.you have to check your carier firstly , no way to activate it permamently without original sim
2.if u can't find original sim card , just Jailbreak on 5.1.1 (Jailbreak for bypass activation ,but it's not real activation)
3.u have to looking SAM on cydia try to activate with SAM again it's fool activation without original sim

i hope you might have any turbo sim for 4s

just put it in another iphone 4s
select your carrier
take out the sim put
into non activated phone and voila
dude

send me your imei so i can help you with the carrier

ya i forgot to tell you that ios 5.0/5.0.1
has the activation by pass trick by doing 12 call

it will provide u so that you can got to the sim application os so ever
select your carrier from the turbo sim ....
