how to check that an iphone3g is factory unlocked ??

i received an iphone 3g unlocked version2.2.1 ver 2.30.3 !! i think it s factory unlocked as this modem version is not unlockeable but how to be 100% sure without taking the risk of doing an update ??

it must b phone of any operator as in official phone taken from any operator service then that phone can update to 2.2.1 and it can b work without turbo and its unlocked only but i must b working with any one operator not with all operator

if that phone is from india then it must b the phone of airtel or vodafone and airtel or vodafone card can only work in that phone none other operator sim vl work on it

u cna check that carrier by going in setting /general/about/ carrier in that the name of the operator will b writen check that

There you find the part number of your phone!


After that; Check this side (scroll down)

There you'll find all Model Numbers and the infos for which country it was produced for and to which carrier it is locked to.
(Or if it's an factory unlocked)

I've a 2g set when I install 2.2.1 by itunes it unlocked already sim works without jailbreak but when try to jailbreak with itunes it says unknown sim. so i jailbreak it with quick pwn 2.2.5. I don't check unlock chek box just jailbreak & I''m using it. I just want to know is it factory unlocked?????
