How to fix error 1618 - Page 2 - GSM-Forum

i have the same problem. iphone 4. It doesnt boot up, see absolutely nothing on the screen, I have tried Tinyumbrella and it says its in DFU mode, iTunes is saying its in recovery mode and needs to be restored, I've used iReb and it says it is in a Pwned state but whenever i try to restore in iTunes with custom or stock it gets to either the apple or snowbreeze logo on screen and the spinning wheel and says preparing iphone for restore but then just stops with the 1618 error. I've tried reinstalling and basically anything else I can think of, just cant get passed that part of the restore. has any one solve this problem?

Sorry for upping a very old thread but I have the same problem with my iPod Touch, can someone help please? All the internet doesn't have a solution!!!

It`s been posted already that is battery prob.
Flat too much or dead.
Tested by me too.
Jump start the battery.

After you change the battery? Were you able to resolve the problem? Is it working now?

rifziyad is right, all 16xx errors al located in NAND or the components near of it, especially if you have a 4s, 100% tested
