How to Fix Error 3194 when Restoring to Stock / Custom 4.3.3 IPSW Firmware - GSM-Forum

If you got error 3194 while upgrading your iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G, 3G or iPad to stock or custom iOS 4.3.3 ipsw firmware, iH8sn0w has just mentioned a way to fix this problem.

Removing Cydia's SHSH Caching Server to fix 3194 error:
--------------------------------------

Download TinyUmbrella from The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
Launch it.
Click on the "Advanced" tab.
Uncheck "Set Hosts to Cydia on Exit"
Click on "Apply Changes"
Reboot your PC/Mac.

Fix Error 3194 when Restoring to Stock / Custom...

or just remove cydia ip hosts file located in c:\windows\system32\hosts\rtc

just remove this line from file hosts file located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

and does it works for 3gs to restore 4.2.1.

Go To Advance Tab There You Will See This Option

Anyways But Apple Already Closed Signing Signature's Of Firmware's So Everything Is Useless ATM

3GS User's : Can Restore IOS 4.1 , 4.3.5 & 5.0b
(Use 4.1 And Jailbreaked Then Unlock)

4G User's : Can Restore IOS 4.3.5 & 5.0b
(Thetered Jailbreak Available ATM For These IOS ... So Wait For New Update Or Do Thetered Jailbreak)

remove all lines end with "gs.apple.com".... 110% working..tried on lots of iphone.

I have a 3gs with 4.3.3 and BB 5.16.02! so can i staright away jump to stock 4.1 and unlock without updating the baseband? or do i have to use a custom firmware? pls inform? its very confusing!
