how to know what is version & baseband ?

i get an iphone 3gs which is stuck on apple logo,i want to restore it but i'm little confuse thet what file i use for it.because i don't know version & baseband of this phone,any idea how to know that..?

bro, restore 4.2.1, when this finish restore, use tinyumbrella.or forecast.u can get baseband also.
