You can use pwnagetool too make a custom firmware without baseband modification, and use itunes to restore it.

You can see "how to" video for pwnagetool here : How to Jailbreak iOS 5 Untethered and Preserve Baseband for Unlock - YouTube

To download original firmware, you can go here: Firmware Links - Download iOS Firmware

Don't forget to use a previous SHSH key (saved by you or in cydia) to sign your fimware, if this one is no longer signed by apple.

Hope, I help you.

don't restore first with itunes or you will get the new baseband!!

Use sn0wbreeze to create a new firmware WITHOUT baseband update! when ipsw is created (and it will appear on windows desktop) if you compare with original ipsw you will see its 10mb smaller! (no baseband firmware) no mistake! the smaller firmware is the one with no baseband!

To bypass the code, boot in DFU mode with the help of the same sn0wbreeze or redsnow then flash ipsw with itunes (shift + restore)

yes. its correct.

when you ask sn0wbreeze to preserve the baseband, the programs removes the bits corresponding to the baseband update on the firmware! just flashing that file (and other in the future) created by sn0wbreez you will never update the baseband!
