1. find out what is your phone's bb and firmware by using tinyumbrella . just google it u will find it or search the forum for it. 2. download an .ipsw which is activated . i have a name for u iPhone3G_iOS4.2.1_8C148_Custom_ACTIVATED.ipsw . i also got this firmware from the forum since mine was on 4.2.1 . u can use this one or any other but make sure that it is for 3G and not 3Gs and secondly that it is activated . 3. now put ur phone in forced recovery . hold both the home and power buttons till the device switches off then holding only the home button insert the usb in the phone . itunes detects it in recovery mode and wants to restore it .at this point press shift and restore tab together and it will ask u to locate your custom activated file . select it . 4. now flash ur phone using this file and it will get activated . thats it . press thanks if u like | |
