WELL...definitly found reason .

From same site downloaded same file, one with IE, one with FireFox .

With IE, option is zip file, and renaming.

With FireFox, download is directly with ipsw extension.

First file is not recognized, second worked like a charm .

: Problem solved with download file with Firefox.

Dear member........

when it shows unable to recognize ipsw on certain redsn0w version, please open again that certain redsn0w and select ur ipsw without closing previous opened redsn0w.

If u face same problem after opening another redsn0w, then there is a problem in ur system.........

Try this........

I`m comming back with new information about UNIDENTIFIED IPSW, the problem is itunes, after update itunes 12 or 12.1.12 whatever they change somthing in itunes libraries and redsnow or itools dont work anymoore.

I use WINDOWS 8.1

Solution is : UNINSTALL all APPLE products from DEVICE MANAGER (\itunes, icloud control panel, bonjour etc etc )

RESTART COMPUTER and check again for any apple products ( if you miss somthing)

Install OLD version of itunes like 10 or 11 , x32 or x64 from HERE Download iTunes 12.1.1 and All Previous Versions For Win & Mac

Then restart again and open Redsn0w Everithing should be allright !!

PLEASE POST IF this work and wich operating system did you use!!!
