How to update 3.1 to 4.2.1 firmware without SHSH? - GSM-Forum

please help if this is possible...

i have iphone 3gs 3.1.2 firmware.
not yet jailbroken
no SHSH save
is apple still signing 4.2.1 firmware?

I think you can now to 4.1. Download tiny umbrella and save shsh, it should save 4.1 shsh than start tss server put phone in dfu mod and restore to 4.1

Save SHSH then make CFW without BB update using Snowbreeze. Put to DFU then Restore.

f your iphone dont have shsh you cannot save it anymore coz apple stop signing 4.1 firmware dont know on 4.2.1 if they still signing it...
